About this festa

Qrendi is a village in the south of Malta close to the prehistoric Ħagar Qim and Mnajdra temples, among the oldest free-standing structures in the world. The village is passionate about its two Santa Marija festas and the celebrations stretch over several weeks building toward the main fireworks spectacle known locally for its music-synchronised pyrotechnics. Qrendi's festa programme is one of the longest on the island and the village has a reputation for elaborate and artistically ambitious fireworks displays.
